Top innovator Wik Gruppen selects Kind

Kind has developed a visual identity and brand strategy for innovation company Wik Gruppen and its new product Liftroller® – a device that will revolutionise site logistics and lifting in the building industry.

'Several sources recommended me to contact Kind when I was looking for a branding agency. I now understand why. It is important not to underestimate the importance of a company's brand. In just a short space of time, the team at Kind have transformed my input and wishes into a company profile and brand strategy I am really proud of.

'At their head office at Bryggen in Bergen, you always feel welcome and that you are looked after and taken seriously. Kind's combination of creativity and skill mean that I would not hesitate to recommend them. I am happy that we chose Kind and I am proud to be part of their impressive portfolio.'

Ivar Ole Wik CEO/Partner, Wik Gruppen

Wik Gruppen is an innovation company that develops solutions and products to meet needs in different sectors. The company's first ground-breaking product is the Liftroller® system. In the construction industry, materials often have to be transported several floors up. One of the methods used today is to suspend loads from straps outside a window opening while the planks are pulled inside one at a time. This is risky, time-consuming and requires a lot of effort. Liftroller® is a mobile landing platform that can be fitted in window openings without damaging the building. This enables the crane operator to put the load down on the protruding ramp, while the workers can haul in whole packages of materials without having to split them up. Nor do they have to lean out the window or lift heavy loads. This will make life simpler and more efficient for building workers.

Following systematic testing and analysis of several prototypes, Liftroller® will be ready for launching in February 2015. With its innovative functions, it will meet a pressing need in the building industry.

The company has received financial support for its product from Innovation Norway, and it has been granted patent rights for Liftroller® in 11 different countries. In December 2014, the company was awarded Hordaland County Authority's 'Inventor Prize', and Liftroller® was acclaimed for its creativity, innovation and value creation.
